it's a big *** mushroom
this is a pic from a few weeks ago (he looked like this up until about an hour ago)

and I was cleaning the outside of my tank,
I moved the lights, and knocked in a few large hunks of salt that had collected on the top of the tank.
I didn't realize til about 5 min later that a big piece had landed on this mushroom,
and he shrivled up (went from about 5-6" across to about an inch and a half)
dosn't look good,
the hole in the middle looked like it was puking up his guts too
are they that fragile, is it gonna die on me?
I checked all my chem (It had been about a week since the last check)
here's my chem info:
48g (ish) tank
sump, protein skimmer, ect....
about 50-70 lbs of live rock,
one clown, one big mushroom, and a whole bunch of little ones
a hand full of blue and red legged hermits and snails.
last week
Temp 82
Salt 33ppt
PH 8.2
Amonia 0
NO3 10
NO2 0
today:
Temp 80.5
Salt 32ppt / 1.0235
PH 8.4
Amonia 0-.25
NO3 10-20
NO2 0
thanks in advance for any help

well,
it's been a couple hours now,
he seems to be opening up (and flattening back out)
he's still only about 2/3 his normal size,
I guess he's gonna be ok.

he probably just got pissed off. If the salt sat on him for any real length of time it would have 'burned' him and you would see that.
Just keep your water quality good and he should be fine... it happens
