Did my skimmer just die?

My skimmer just stopped working. I have an aqua c remora that just stopped working. How do I determine if it's shot or not? It's only 1 1/2 years old. Do I start with a new pump and then move on from there?

if the pump stopped I think it would be dead

. just my opinoin. and yes i would put a new pump on it.

Remove the hose and see if water is coming out of the pump.

for 1 let me just say love the dog.lol
and 2 i may have jumped the gun a little clean the pump. it may be gunked up some

and if it is dead your only talking $15 for a replacement pump. Call Aquac, they'll likely take care of you regardless of warranty/when you bought it.

I agree with abeandlulu.....My skimmer stopped working just two days ago...I took apart the propeller and cleaned it real good...it started right back up and is running good again. So try that first before replacing.

when you clean it up make sure to clean up the air supply, i had it clogged up with the salt once scraped out it worked just fine
