Just a few years ago I told a man at my work about my 5th or 6th. lol I can't remember now lol s/w reef.
And he said !!(what)!! how many tanks do you have?
And after a few weeks of talking about it he asked me THE QUESTION... Will I help him set up a s/w tank ...
It was so cool to see a new reefer getting into it like me. He has 2 tanks now and we just talked about his 3rd tank possibly going up soon lol.
And another coworker in getting back into fish keeping as well. It is a 75gal fresh water but some of them are cool too.
So I am a fish pimp lol 2 down and 2 million to go lol
What about you ??????????

its very catchy once you they see the tanks or you start talking about them to people. I have helped several people set up tanks all over.

When i got divorced and moved out of the house we shared, my ex sold all 6 of my SW tanks. When I moved in with my current hubby i asked him to build me an inwall tank. He wanted something really small, like the size of 12x12 picture hanging on the wall. Finally talked him into a 75. When we went to buy the LR he almost fainted when lfs rang up 500.00.
We have since moved to another state and had to start over. We now have a 150 and 55 and hubby knows more about the hobby then i do. Didn't bat an eye buying the LR this time

My daughter inherited my 10g when I moved up to a 30g. Now she has a 55g cycling. I am not handling the "she has a bigger tank than me" issue very well and am looking for a 75 or 90.

I told my hubby I wanted a fish tank again. It was a fresh water one we set up. Then he saw Finding Nemo, and suddenly it was, "I gotta have Nemo!" Next thing you know, he is saving all his pennies, buying a saltwater kit (55 gal tank, filter, heater, hood lights). It progressively got worse. The filter was okay, but needed protein skimmer, oh, then he needed new lights, cuz stardard ones weren't good enough for anemones. Got rid of all decor in tank, and started buying live rock. It got to the point where we lived our lives on Saturdays (every Saturday) to go the lfs about an hour away. And spend an hour or more there just looking! And then he said he wanted to take a vacation in Florida and really it wasn't to see his brother or sister, but to check out the lfs's there. I think it is a disease. He needs help.
Of course I have my 29 gal reef that crashed, but trying to bring it back cuz I got addicted too, and jealous of his tank!!!
