Majano.. aptatis ( cant spell ) .. get rid of it.. but yea.. good luck with that .. they spread fast and will sting other corals.. look up what you can about them.. but best method is to boil water.. syringe it and squirt it on them.. yet still... good luck with that...

lfs didnt have joe's juice so i got an aptasia killer and it DESTROYED them. i had about 7 of them (that i could find) and they are all nicely dead. hermits were chomping on
one corpse this morning, assuming thats fine cause its just decomposing meat at the moment hehe

If you don't have corals are aiptasia still something to worry about? If so is it because they'll spread quickly?

aiptasia does spread fairly quickly. One day I had one or two, a week later there was half a dozen. They are resilient too!! I tried injecting them with calcium, and it took me a couple tries(and a mess in the tank) to kill them.

god, i just found 5 more aptaisia. 4 i can't even get close enough with the needle to squirt the killer in them. looks like peppermint shrimp for me. they will eat for a while :(

if the peppermint shrimp is bigger than the crabs it should be ok. as for using the juice, i'd tend to think a natural solution to the problem, like peppermint shrimp, would always be the better choice... provided of course it doesn't end up someone's dinner

anyway, my one peppermint ate probably 15+ aiptasia in a span of a few weeks. now that they're gone, i just hand feed him some krill now and again -but he's always out at night scavenging. so i wouldn't worry that it won't get enough to eat.
just my 2 cents...
