diffrent kinds of maroons??

umm. i noticed at some stores that they have 2 diffrent kind of maroon clownfish. one with thick stripes and one with very think stripes.
are they 2 diffrent kinds of clowns? whats does thick and thin stripes mean?

On question of Maroon clowns is it ok to put a gold stripe maroon in with a false perc.??
Wife is in love with the maroon clowns and we already have a false perc. and the daughter doesnt want to get rid of it.

No.The maroon will end up killing the perc.

No, there is only one species of Maroons, (Premnas biaculeatus). The Gold-Stripe Maroon is a color morph. The thickness of the stripes has to do with the age of the fish. The thinnier they are, the older(larger) the fish is. It's said the actual thickness of the stripe never changes from when the maroon's a juvi, throughout the fish's life.
