Digital camera recommendation...

Hi, I got $300 to spend and was thinking maybe somebody knowledgeable can recommend a digital camera. I'm looking for a 5 mp camera with 3x opt res., auto and manual focus/controls, better than average flash and most important of all, vivid color pictures. Thanks!
btw - I am flexible with the price.

It may be hard to find a 5mp digital camera for that price. If you save up a lil more though, maybe about 50 bucks, you can get one. I would suggest maybe the Canon A95 (round 350 these days), or a Nikon of some sorts.

If you want function as well as size, check out Canon's S500, just picked one up for the gf and she loves it. I've taken pictures with the Canon S400 and they've come out great, one's in my avatar.
