I am going to invest in a digital camera, I was thinking about spending up to $500 and get the best possible camera for that price, please express your opinions on brand names and qualities to look for. Much appreciated.

check into the Cannon G2 or G3. They have come down a lot in price and are excellent cameras. Several here have them and take great pics and user friendly. I love my G3. Check
bhphoto.com. They have good prices. The G5 just came out not too long ago, but might still be a little pricey. Not sure though.

Same here, Im going to Invest in a Digital Camera, and I want it to be good.
So about the G3 and G2, can you link me up to some posted pictures taking with it.
I'd like to see the quality of it.
Also, where can you get the cheapest digital prints at, that would be very helpful.
Thanks in advance, Im looking to spend somewhere around 200 to 400, if the quality is such a big difference then I will raise the bid, but thanks...

Go into the "anything goes" thread in this forum. Melody has the G3 also. She has mastered the digital thing more than me, I am still stuck to my 35mm, but still LOVE the G3 for the convenience.
