My biowheel filter on my 55 gallon tank stopped working yesterday, and after looking through it I came to the conclusion that the impeller was messed up. So I turned the filter off, dipped both biowheels into the tank and left them floating there.
Problem is, I have to order the spare impeller off the internet, but this will take a couple of days to arrive, and I can't go off and buy a temporary filter.
This is my stocklist:
Hoven's wrasse
sixline wrasse
yellowtail damsel
purple firefish
medium tomato clownfish
three large hermit crabs
couple of narcissus snails
I also still have an in-tank protein skimmer that is running, but i'm afraid that it's probably not the most efficient one out there, since i bought it used. I also have live rock, but not that much.
How many gallons should I change each day until i get the impeller?
