Dilema

two fish nets and all the rocks put in a bucket.
You mean catching him correct?
QT'ing the fish by itself will only fix the fish. The proper way is to QT the whole tank and the fish.
you may want to post in the disease forum for more questions

Well to be frank, unless you plan on taking the whole thing apart, the chances are you're not going to get him out. You can use 4 nets if you want, but the second you put nets in the water and they feel movement, they will be GONE! I've tried all methods already, at the end I figure the amount of time I tried catching him, I could of taken the rocks down and rebuild it
Good Luck

This is a first to QT the whole tank. I've heard of QT'ing just the sick fish.
My clown, angel and spotted hawk are doing fine. I know it can spread and get to them. That's why I want to get the royal out to QT him. I figured he got it from stress. He was chased around his first couple of days in there. No one like him. Now they leave him alone.
As soon as I lift my canopy, he hides in the rocks. I'm really not in the mood to pull everything out because I finally have it setup the way I want. Guess you gotta do what you gotta do for the sake of others.
Do you think garlic might help?

Garlic might help, but it'e not cure. If the Royal Gramma has ICK, then it's prest in the tank. And by removing the RG is not going to cure ICK in the display tank. As long as the parasite has a host (fish) it will continue to reproduce. Even if the other fish are not affected by the parasite it still can reproduce.

Also keep in mind that some things in your tank may not like being in copper or hyposaline conditions. You should do some reading before you QT if I might suggest.

Ok...I came home for lunch and to observe my RG. He has no more white spots on him. He's swimming fine.
Yesterday he had a few spots on him and was rubbing up against the sand and rocks. None of that today. I've been watching him for the better part of an hour now. I don't have a cleaner in my tank nor anything else that would provide that service to him. Can anyone explain this?
Fed him some brine soaked in garlic just to help him out in the meantime while I read.
