The man was just as good a person as he was a guitarist, as friendly as he was talented. Doesn't seem like it was 4 years ago to me. Guess the home videos keep it fresh on the mind.
The guy that shot him was an ex-Marine. The Marine Corps had discharged him based on his mental issues. Trained him up, taught him how to kill, and turned him loose on the public knowing of his condition. Private Pyle.
It wasn't about Pantera breaking up. He claimed they stole all his lyrics by "reading his journals". He was known to talk to animals that were invisible/imaginary. He had a long history of mental illness. Unfortunately no one did anything about it until he put 5 bullets in Dime's face. It's too bad they shot him dead on sight instead of incarcerating/executing him in prison.
