Light is sold. I sold it locally to someone for 60 bucks. Now you can stop flamin me for tryin to rip someone off which I wasn't. Abricrombie sells the same styles as the knock off brands they just slap a A & F label on there and raise the price 30 bucks. Does that meen they are trying to rip buyers off?? NO! So how is me dropping the price I bought the light at to sell it to you ripping someone off??? The light is sold so there's no need to respond just think about it. -Greg

So are you saying that you are the A & F of aquarium lights? Is it a "fashion statement" to buy a light from you? There is no relation between A & F's high prices your high price on a light. If putting your name on an aquarium light eventually causes people to pay more for it than it appears to be worth at some point in your life, then you can compare the two and I would say that is fine. But you had nothing to do with the creation of that light and the fact that you owned it doesn't make people want to pay more for it than it is worth. You knew you were charging more than it was worth and you were doing nothing to add to the value. I don't really care if you try to overcharge people for things, just don't be surprised when people explain to you and others that it is a rip off. I wouldn't guess this message board would be an easy place to overcharge people since this is likely to happen anyway and many of these people (like me) spend way to much time looking up prices and such anyway.

Me owning it doesn't bring up the price I bought it for 100 and I sold it for 60...I wasn't trying to rip people off If you consider the price I bought it for. It only seems like I'm ripping you off if you look at the cheapest price. If anything the person who bought it got a better deal. He gets to examin it, make sure the bulbs work, check it out for scratches, make sure he actually gets it and doesn't just pay and not recieve an item, and by picking it up himself there's no chance of damage from shipping. He also gets it whenever he gets the time to frive over and pick it up...he doesn't have to wait for shipping. Plus I sold it to him for 5 bucks less than the original price with only 1 week of use so I wouldn't say he got ripped off. -Greg

Forget it. Next time I see people paying more for something than is necessary I will let them do it. Apparently I'm wrong for helping many people to save some money while causing one person to have to lower a price. theweena, if I see you willing to pay for something that I know you can get elsewhere easily and cheaper I will not let you know because I can see that it would offend you.

Thanks for trying to help, I got ripped off at my LFS on a light also, but I don't expect people to pay way more than it is worth if I tried to sell it.
This hobby costs enough $$$$ without people trying to rip others off. Don't listen to the them.

If you think it's to much...DON'T BUY IT!
You'll always find a cheaper price not matter what it is..
Being ripped off is in the eye of the buyer...If all the local prices he's seen are lower than this one...in his eyes he's getting a deal...No harm no foul.

If ---- has an item it's almost always cheaper than prices elsewhere...It would make sense to buy this light if you could pick it up cuz it's a for sure, no doubt thing but If you need it shipped I'd agree that ---- is better. -Greg

even tought off the topic...hagfish i think u need to back off, he was using A+F as an example if u didnt quite notice...plus maybe u should think about stickin to the topic he was askin if any body wanted to buy his light not askin for criticizing...no offence, but if its on ---- for that price then go to ----

I got a PC light for sale too dirt cheap as the title says.
Its a coralife 260 watt PC light used for 6 months I bought it for $450. so I will sell it for $400 shipped
dirt cheap.
