Update,
I just got 40 more snails/crabs/star fish
I also just orderes a bak pak 2r protein skimmer
and i added a powerhead near the bottom of the tank to move the water more.
This should do it correct?

sorry to hijack, but what would be a good turnover rate for a 150 galon soon to be reef? right now i have about a 1/8th horsepower pump, im not sure how many gph that is , but it gives a idea

For a 150 gallon
A 10x turnover is 1500 gph
...12x turnover is 1800 gph
...15x turnover is 2250 gph

I have two sand sifter stars in my 90 gallon and they work great.
