Disappearing Algae

I have a 75gal reef. Well established, few Lps and mushrooms. Have cheato for nitrates, skimmer, the whole shebang. Not over feeding. Anyways, I recently started getting green algae everywhere, almost to where it's coving everything, Not hair algae. When the lights go out. I'll go back like 15 min later and it's frikin almost gone. I know turbo snails are good but I only have two. Turn lights back on in morning, looks great. Hour later, green green and more green. I replaced the light bulbs, no go. Water is great. Puzzled? Any ideas, products, techniques to get rid of it. I should also mention it's dark green in some areas and neon green in others.

Internal or external over flow? What is your turnover rate? should go for 10x the tank volume. If you can you should increase your return pump and see if that helps.I had the same problem I installed another pump and added a filter sock to catch the junk.just make sure you clean the sock once a week.Oh also you could try running gfo in a reactor. to get your phosphates down hope this helps

Do you have a picture of this algae? Sounds and acts like cyanobacter. Is it like a slime covering over things?
