um just witnessed the murder of resident crab from LR by another introduced crab from LFS LR; ghuess now need to find out what kind of crab the victor is; apparenly became a territorial dispute; both were "small" (1"-1.5");of course the larger one won;it has basic small crab shape/build like an emerarald w/ natural brown colors, kind of bumpy, very red-stalked eyes

That kinda sounds like the one i was asking about a few weeks ago , red with some brown green color to his back, if its the same get rid of it my i couldnt catch for ---- and it killed all my snails and hermits i finally caught him and took him to the LFS and they had no idea what kind he was but they put him in a tank with a large eel (Zebra) and the crab fought him off for about 15 minutes or so before he finally meet his match. But he caused a lot of damage and cost a lot of money too.

jackob....I've always heard that the ones with red eyes are evil....I have a brown furry one in my system thats been there for several months...never seems to bother anything....but his eyes are not red either.......I'd like to catch him with a pic sometime so somebody could help me ID him....I do always worry about him.......

yep fshhub that looks a lot like it; cannot clearly tell though; that pic is from above and behind; need another one preferably up close & personal;course it kinda looks like the one that he killed too; guess will just have to wait and see if it starts to do more damage

well, i have heard several rumors about these guys, for the most part i have heard that they are not aggressive, but can be very defensive,(which in this case is just as bad), because they are very defensive about their holes, and many fish like to hide in thema t night, that is supposedly where the big problem is, but in any case, i wouldn't want one, esp. if you got smaller fishes or inverts
catch him and get him out, you appaaarently already have a good idea as to where his burrow is
