Does anyone know where I can get a replacement outlet for a Custom Sea Life matal halide ballast? It is the outlet that takes the square pins.

I've never seen those connectors anywhere. I think they may be custom made by/for the manufacturer. The manufacturer may be the only place to go.
Have you thought about replacing the entire male and female connector with something more standard? Digi-Key sells all kinds of that sort of thing, including some of the really nice circular military-style connectors that fit nice into a round hole.

The manufacturer of the ballast went out of business.
The connectors are more common than you think. If you look at the back of your computer where you plug in your power cord, that is the connector I am talking about except the female version. If you remember the older computers where the monitor was plugged into the power supply in the computer, that is the connector I need.

Oh crap man, I'm sorry. I was thinking of one of those super-proprietary deals that some manufacturers use.
The connector you want is a type IEC-320 C13. The male version, if you care to know, is an IEC-320 C14.
It's too bad you don't live near me, I could just give you one. The easiest way to get a hold of one is to tear apart an old computer power supply (the old AT style supplies have a female recepacle designed for a monitor to connect). If you don't have access to one, I found one for you. You can get it from Digi-Key, part number 486-1021-ND.
About $2 + shipping + below minimum order fee so maybe $10.

Thanks, I did a lot of searching and found that it is called an IEC connector. Everyone has different part numbers and only sell them in bulk. I'll try the one you listed, maybe I'll have better luck. Thanks.

I just checked and that is exactly what I need, thanks. I ordered a few extras and also the male plugs to go along with them. I might as well make new cords while I'm at it. Thanks again.
