DIY canopy for 18 gal high...need suggestions for installing lighting

I have recently built a canopy for an 18 gal high tank that I am soooo proud of. I currently have a 36 PC and a regular 15 watt fluorescent bulb. I am wanting to take them out of their casings and install them into the canopy and was wondering if there are any suggestions on things I should do to make it a smooth and awesome transition. I guess what I am getting at is are there things I should purchase from HD such as some sort of reflector or something additional that I cannot think of because of not ever having done this before?
I appreciate all replies. Any experience would help.
Thanks gang.

I used for my reflector some tin foil and spray adhesive tin foil is like 98% reflective and it was easy and cheap too.

I used a retrofit kit that came with a reflector. It seems to even out the light better and provides a little 'eye protection' when I open the lid.
Just make sure that your wires don't get ripped off when you open the lid and everything else should fall into place for you.
