DIY canpoy paint question

is there any particular paint i should use on my DIY canopy? I guess a more consice question would be is there any type that I should avoid?

I guess i wouldn't paint it unless it was the outside, with the inside i would just seal the inside with a polyurathane sealant to seal the wood. thats what i did with mine, it works good, if you want to seal the inside i would seal it with a waterprooof paint i would seal it with a waterproof paint.

I got this acrylic stuff from the hardware store, Laspar I believe or something along those lines. It was gloss white so it helps reflect the light and it holds up to heat and saltwater. And no need for poly to add on it.
