I really want the commando phone! I never carry my phone around with me but i think that new commando phone is really kool! Shock resistan and everything! Sry for hijacking lol just wanted to share!
So that plumbing piece u bought comes in square of circle? I though u cut it in half and got one circle and one square piece from it???

Its like a rain gutter adapter made out of pvc. It has the opening of a circle, and the other half is a square. I sawed it down the middle and sanded the edges so its was smooth

Looks cool!!!!! I wouldn't trust it though putting my good camera in it underwater.....Not sure how long it will remain water tight though.......Cutting circles in acrylic can easily be done with a router and circle cutting jig, or a hole saw with the centering bit removed run in a drill press......
 
I never put my camera with it, its just for viewing over the coral. My phone happens to be waterproof so thats how I got pictures. Besides it's about to inches tall so you can't get so close to the coral, but it does make it better to see. Since my frag tank is only 6.5 inches tall, this helps

one could do this using a magnifying glass to right? Hmmmm getting some idear here!!
I'm wondering if I can form some acrylic in a parabolic shape in order to create a magnifying effect. I have some scrap out in the garage I may give it a go and see what it does.
