DIY Float Switches

All you need are two float switches like these, a pump and a resivoir so you dont need anything else but these.
Here is a crude drawing I did to show how I have mine setup.

i would also recomend a relay switch. i have the exact switches and i feel that kicking these things on with out one may cause the switches to arch and cause them to stick

Are the switches rated for 120 volts ? I assumed they are rated for 12 VDC since they look like float switches for bilge pumps .

Will this work like this? I want to make it so the bottom switch kicks the power on and the top one kicks it off.

I dont think it will, becuase the bottom switch is going to close the loop once it reaches the "up" position which will kill power to the pump.

I am going to bring this tread up Because I have a extra 120v relay for these switches. I got it from radio shack for about 15 dollars after shipping. If someone wants it they can have it for 10 shipped. Its brand new in package.
