DIY fuge???

The area under my stand is 54"L 14"W 29"H but, it is broken into 2 24" openings. (support post in the center) The W/D I have now wont fit the skimmer in it. If I make the W/D taller and pile up the bio balls it will make more room in the sump and leave room for the fuge. Is it possible to move the dividers that are already glued into the sump? Please let me know what you think.

Why is it my picters never end up working? i have them put on my personal website my provider gives me and i attach them here

Hey guys,
Would it be possible to get some more pics of your fuges? How about the overflows? I seem to be coming up short on the net for good quality pics that I can duplicate. I am only looking to make a 10 or possibly a 15 for my tank. What about the rubbermade? Any pics? Pro's and con's? This sounds like I could get more volume by going the plastic tub method.
Any help would be great getting confused.
Thanks

WyldGunz, thanks. thats a great pic. how long has it been up? Is it necessary to run a hang on or canister filter on the incoming water?

I have a 15 gal tall under my 125. Here is an old pic after I first set it up. I know have the return go to the other side of the sump so it bypasses the skimmer. I will try to post a new pic with the macro and Lr in it.

Theres no real need for mechanical filtration, but i do run the skimmer non stop in the fug/sump and for 1 week a month i use a canister filter with carbon and a micro filter to remove anything bad that may accumulate . Its been up about 3 months now.

nice pic's everyone. I will be posting lots of pis's once everything is up an running. I just picked up the stain color for my new stand to night. Can any one post some pic's form the side view of your fuge? I am getting ready to install the baffels and I want to make sure to set them right. I also would like to know if any one is able to get the fine pollished edge on acrylic that they have cut. I need to make several strait cuts and fit them together. And last question, what is the best stuff to stick it all together?
Broncofish please let me know if you have any advice. Also if you get a chance please give me a call at work if you get a chance.
Thanks all.

Depending on the thickness of your plexi I used to heavily scribe the top side on the cut line and place the line just past the edge of a table top. Hold the one side and with a quick downward force snap the glass. If done correctly the line will be perfect.
On another note taking a propane torch and "flaming" the cut will produce remarkable results. I believe it actually melts the edge and cleans it up real nice.
Thanks for all the info guys, keep it coming.

thanks for all of the post so far everyone. I think I have just 2 questions left.
Does anyone have any advice on how or ware to place the baffels? I will be using a 25g flat back hex. I was thinking water in at one end, baffel, center of tank open, baffel, overflow out other end.
My other question is what is the best glue to use on acrylic?

Hey Broomer - excellent info!!!
I am in the planning and design stages of some sort of sump/refugium and this is exactly what I needed to get the ideas flowing.
Two questions:
1) Why do you have dual "everything"? Two overflows, two pumps in sump? Is it for redundancy checks?
2) Why do you ave the Mag 9 go on and off?
Great stuff - I've copied everything, including your text instructions into my research file.
Thanks!
