DIY Gravity Fed Skimmer

I am looking for some pictures or help or what not on doing a gravity fed skimmer that is on the order of a downdraft skimmer. Is it possible to have a skimmer run off of your drain line to the sump and not use a pump on the skimmer? My main tank will be on the main floor and sump and everything in the basement! Any and all help or pictures or drawings or anything will be very much appreciated!

It's not possible to have a gravity feed and not use a pump on the skimmer, at least not in practical application.
No matter what you do, you have to create foam. The only practical ways of doing that require pressure and speed to shred air into the water. I think even with your drain line being as long/high as it is, you won't get enough pressure to do the job.
If you want a downdraft design, you definitely have to use a pump... you'll have to have it set up to recirculate from the mixing box to the downdraft, then gravity feed from the tank into the mixing box, then back out to the sump.
I don't have any pictures, sorry.
