Ok... so im real currious..... how do the retro kits work???
I found MH ballasts for $15 each.... from what it looks like is all you have to do is hook the leads up to a switch, then power the switch, and you have a light. Am i correct in assuming this??? Forgive the crude drawing below....
diagrams make it soooooo much easier to understand....

That's not the ballast. That's a double ended socket for MH.
PC/MH ballast will run you $80-$200 bux.

ok... thats what i thought... i was like.. where the heck is the transformer??? ok good.... thanks!

As long at you switch the hot on the lead side of the ballast you will be good. My opinion, don't get an all-in-one ballast kit where they are all housed in one box. Keep them seperate incase one goes bad.
