DIY Lights and DIY auto water leveler.

I just built a sump and wet/dry for my 55g. I would like to build a DIY autoleveler. Does anyone have any ideas for that?
ANd what light kit do you reccomend. I need another 100-150 watts.

I'm planning on using that site to build a venturi skimmer. I already have a SeaClone 100, but it never skims anything. I haven't need to empty it for 4 weeks, or a month. It has only produced like a cm of sludge, so I'm going to go with a DIY model. Save money on a new one, but still get the job done.
