Thinking about it, I guess you can't blame the guy selling them! He is just trying to make a quick buck or 2 :D
The real idiot would be the person that actually paid for the plans!!

Pulled my rock out of the sand tonight, looks like a big donut!! :hilarious
Not bad for our first try! Going to mix the remainder this weekend and try again then cure them all at the same time!
Anyway....thanks again for all the help everyone!!

Hey I just made my first batch of rock, how long does it take on average for them to dry? Hopefully they turn out good well see I guess.

The longer they take to dry, the stronger they will be. It's best to actually keep them damp and covered with plastic for a few days.

Yeah i agree with letting them sit longer to dry. the first batch i made i could not wait so i took them out and put them in water about 2 days after. the second batch took me about 4 or 5 days to get to them and they had fewer pieces crumble off when i took them out of the sand. My LR is still in the curing process. I have quite a bit and decided to wait on making more until i see what the stuff i have looks like in the tank. I still have about 5 or 6 weeks to go before its is done curing. Can someone tell me real quick ~~ do you wait until the PH is the same as it should be for your tank before you put it in or can it be a little higher?
LOL yah, my toenails didn't think of that when i took the pic. Oh well :) ttfn :joy:

Yep. Do this in freshwater, than switch to salt for the final curing. The pH will spike again when the rock goes in saltwater for the first time.
