Anyone made their own moonlights before? The only thing I'm not sure of is how to power them? Any suggestions.
Thanks

I think if you do a search you will find a good thread on DIY moonlights. It's a pretty lenghty thread but spells it all out for you... I will do a search and if i find it I will give it a bump!!!!!!:)

just go to radio shack and pick up some leds's. then get a 5V power supply and hook it up. You have to wire the LED's in parallel. Or if you want something that will run off 12 VDC then just go to an autoparts store and look in the "rice" section they have all kinds of led's there. Then just cut off the cigarette lighter power adapter and hook it up to your 12V power supply. Very easy and cheap

check out Kaotica.com I used this system with 4 lights on a 55 and am VERY VERY PLEASED. Plus the whole system costs under $ 40 and is upgradable.

I have made my own....Very easy.....and about 15 bucks in parts. Make sure you get GOOD LED's there are alot of BAD ones. You will also need a certain size resistor. Solder the resister onto the long wire side of the LED, wire them together, use a old Cell phone charger, and bingo you have your moonlights.
Here are my old ones....I am making new ones as we speak.
