DIY siphon to sump

I was looking for some ideas on using a u tube and hose as a siphon to a sump. Money is very tight and I need to do a DIY on this one. I'm not sure what will happen when the power goes out. Also, when the power comes back on again. Can a check valve be installed to avoid any over flow. I look forward to your comments. Thank so much.

This will NOT work.It will be impossible to match the syphon with the return pump.You will surly end up with either an empty tank,or an empty sump.At any rate your floor will get wet.A good overflow box is an essential piece of equiptment,and skimping here will bring disaster.Try looking at ----,,,There are allways good deals there...
