I've been doing a bunch of research on diy skimmers for a couple planned tanks.
The one thing I've not been able to find is this, when looking at plans, how can you discern whether they're big enough for your planned tank?
I would assume it's a mixture of flow and chamber volume, but is there some kind of a "guidline formula" to use? I know it would very depending upon bioload, etc. But I'd like to figure out at least some kind of a reference.
Thanks,
J
