Thanks for the compliment. I built one for the owner of my LFS. She liked the way mine looked and wanted to see if she could sell one. It was build for an all-glass 55 gallon tank. Dunno if she sold it yet or not.

Sounds like a good start to a fruitful business. No more working for someone else. Keep up the good work!:D

About how much did it cost you to build it? I think I might be interested in trying to do something like that with me 75. Was it very hard to do?

I think the final cost of building it was about $80. It wasnt dificult to build. Its made of:
Standard 2X4's
1/2 inch (thick) X 4 inch pine (wide)
1/2 inch (thick) X 6 inch pine (wide)
1 sheet of paneling board (like the stuff you put up on walls) about 1/8 inch thick with a finish quality side
Used some molding to touch it up and make the doors with
Hardware for doors: hinges and handles for doors

Here is a shot from the back. Notice the lid. That had to go due to the fact that i didnt factor in JBJ lighting fixture i purchased. *TIP* Purchase lights BEFORE you build the stand so you can compensate for the added hight and cut holes to accomadate the fans.
