DIY Sump/Fuge baffle height

How tall should the baffles be for a standard 10 gal tank? Or better yet how far from the top should the highest baffle be? :notsure:

When I make sumps I take the size of the display tank into account. The sump should have enough extra space so it will not overflow if the power goes out and the water level in the display drops.

The display will be a 29 gal. I'm trying to set up the sump for it but im not sure what height I need to cut the baffles.

Does anyone have any ideas as to how high I should have them? The display will be a 29 gallon and the sump/fuge a 10 gallon.

I'm currently building a sump have cut mine so that they are 8 inches tall. I will set some of the bottom of a 12" tank and some towards the top. I'm keeping at least 2 inches between the top baffer and the top of the tank.
