DIY UV Sterilizer

I was wondering if anyone had tried thos before. I am able to get 50-100watt UV lights for 10 bucks and wondering if i could make a cylinder for it.

What brand bulbs are they??? And are they 50 or 100 watt? For NO there isn't really much of a difference but for UV that is a HUGE difference! If you can get good bulbs for that price then I'll buy a bunch of them from you!

they range from 50 watts to 100 watts and they r either rainbow lifeguard or aqua uv sterilzers i forget which. Ill hav to ask.

Well i would use it on my tank the only thing is if i can ge the bulbs cheep R there any ways of making a DIY sterilizer?

Yes you can make a UV sterilizer, but by the time you buy a ballast and get the sleeves made for the bulbs and then seal the sleeves and then plumb a tubberware container or something similar, you are going to spend just as much (or more) than if you just bought one.
