Thats ok, most suggest the alk level to be kept at 8-14. If you keep it a little higher, 10-12dKH the pH level may be more stable. HTH

Lots of choices for raising and maintaining alkalinity.
You'll want to monitor the calcium and pH, along with the alkalinity though. Most always best to look at these 3 measurements together as a group.
Changing one affects the others.
Products:
ESV B-Ionic is a balanced 2 part supplement - easy and works well. Same I've heard about Kent Marine's Tech CB - balanced 2 part package.
SeaChem's Reef Builder is excellent for raising alkalinity, and you may want to look into their Reef Advantage for calcium.
Kent also makes the ProBuffer dKH liquid, or the Superbuffer dKH dry powder alkalinity builder. Both work fine - but again - watch the calcium and pH closely.
Lot's of choices out there to pick from. Most are available at your lfs or online. IMO they all pretty much to the same thing - that is raise the amount of carbonates that are in the saltwater.
The balanced systems are not fool-proof - but do offer ease of use and are reliable ways to make small adjustments.
The other's all work too.
