dkh and alk

are dkh and alk the same or are they different? Also if they are different can i get my dkh reading from my alk test?

For all intents and purposes of a marine tank, yes.
What test kit are you using? Salifert kits come with a conversion chart and formula. If I can find it, I'll post it.

I am using fastest/seatest.. The reason i was asking was i posted a thread about coraline algae and the majority of the people said i need my cal. at 400-450 and my dkh at 8. My alk tested at 4.0 Is this good? also i looked at my kit and i dont see a conversion chart to dkh can anyone convert 4.0 alk to dkh for me thanks.:confused:

As stated above, both your calcium and alkalinity (dKH) seem fine. Strong amounts of current seem to help in the spreading of coralline; coralline can easily release spores into the aquarium, and with the current, it will be spread throughout the tank. I've also found that SeaChem's sugar based calcium is a great coralline enhancer!

well my kh is 135mg/l so how does that figure out to
dkh=
alk=
is that a good reading
i have a hagen master test kit
please help
