But besides the testing I opened my windows in my fish room today and my ph is already at 8.16 which is higher than its been for a long time, so this is telling me that there is to much oxygen getting used during the day, Going to have to tell my wife to stop talking and perhaps take shorter breathes of air
..
So now I'm going to have to figure out how to get fresh air to my tank. Any suggestions????

Good luck there. I dont think she's going to cooperate.
Running the air lines outside is the cure.
You will be "injecting" the fresh air into the tank. Maybe some duct tape too.
This is a common ocurrence in the winter. We try to tighten our house up so tight to keep the cold out. That were not getting as much fresh air as we really need. It's like breathing in a large paper bag. But with furnaces burning(especially gas, wood burning, pellet etc.) those are consuming O2 also. Theres a lot of competition for oxygen.

There are kits you can buy to bring fresh air in from outside directly to your furnace. They are like 200-250 and this will make you more comfortable and will cutdown on the amount of allergens that are present in your house. Check out furnace supply places on the wed. I think they sell them at aprilaire
