But besides the testing I opened my windows in my fish room today and my ph is already at 8.16 which is higher than its been for a long time, so this is telling me that there is to much oxygen getting used during the day, Going to have to tell my wife to stop talking and perhaps take shorter breathes of air

Running the air lines outside is the cure.
You will be "injecting" the fresh air into the tank. Maybe some duct tape too.
This is a common ocurrence in the winter. We try to tighten our house up so tight to keep the cold out. That were not getting as much fresh air as we really need. It's like breathing in a large paper bag. But with furnaces burning(especially gas, wood burning, pellet etc.) those are consuming O2 also. Theres a lot of competition for oxygen.
