I found a book on sale at the bookstore and snatched it up. Not great but is something.
"Keeping Moray Eels in Aquariums" by Phil Purser. Nice read for the $5 or so I paid for it. Also WWM has some good work time reading on the web.

95Harley, Is the dragon going to be the only fish in the 75 or will you put some smaller fish in with it?

Probably try it with a few damsels for movement and potential "Snacks". If that works out I may or may not try a couple other small fish. Flame angel or Clown. But I only want 8-10 small fish in there at most.
More fish is more to feed and more Bio-Load. In a 75g with a 3' eel I have to watch the Bio load very carefully.
Time will tell. He is currently being kept in a 72 Bow with about a dozen Damsels, clowns, and Psuedo's, and possibly a lemonpeel angel...I can't tell well from the pics.
But the shop told me they even had a butterfly in with him successfully for a while to take down an aptasia problem.
Again, Time will tell.

I have 3 giant moray eels in a 90g and feed them 2lbs of squid every 2 weeks. Great creatures. I almost lost my finger once.

Finally I have found my small dragon moray!!! It is a Japanese and will be between 12-16". I have found some retailers, but the price was too much for what i would be willing to pay for the eel. i should be getting the eel in a few weeks. The retailer is getting the Dragon and then going to hold it for at least two weeks to make sure everything is okay with him. I'll keep you updated. Regards, Tim

There may be a lot of truth to the guys that tell you they're highly aggressive, when they first get them and that would mainly be due to the fact they're small juveniles. As with any small, wild animal, they're gonna instinctively be aggressive. I just bought a 14" - 16" hatchling Burmese Python and can't take him out with getting tagged at least 5 times. It's just baby nature.
.

Id get rid of that snake. I have had retics, burmese and scrub pythons. Getting tagged once is a norm. But 5 times?? that is crazy. Never heard of that. I currently own a 14 foot yellow head female and a 9 foot male tiger retic.

Eh...it's just normal, instinctual fear aggression. I had a wild caught Ball Python that never tamed down. You took her out, you were gonna get bitten at least a few times.
He's already tamed down. I handle him at least a few times a day. I have a total of ten snakes and they're all babies...including my 13' female Burm.
