Do Anemone hurt fish?

I was reading about Anemones and it said they were slighty poisonous. Does that hurt fish? Will it hurt other corals? I kind of like the Anemones because they are cheap but still look pretty good for some starters.

will eat most anything that is slow enough or dumb enough to get near its mouth. Have not lost anything personally but have been told they will especially LTA's
my 2 cents

Long Tentacle Anemone (LTA).
I'd read through some threads in the "clownfish & anemone" forum as well.

You will have to do a research on both the species of fish you want to keep and the species of anemone you want to keep. Your question is too broad to be answered accurately.

Anemones sting like jelly fish killing fish and slowy moving them to there mouth and eating them. There are only a few inverts and fish that can live in and on an anemone "one being the clown fish even then some clownfish can be stung by the anemone". Were gloves "a certain kind look at fish websites or someone here can tell you" when handling there sting will hurt and some ppl have allergic and of course dont know it cause they dont touch anemones on a daily basis lol.

Actually, anemones are not for beginners...they require more intense lighting than some corals and absolutely pristine water conditions. PC lighting is considered pretty marginal...many would advise metal halides or no anemones.
They can and will hurt other corals should they decide to move.
Some species of anemones, such as carpets, are particularly large and "aggressive" if you will, potentially eating some fish. Others are not so likely to eat fish or inverts - shrimp, for example, commonly wander around on anemones with little harm.
