Do Bristleworms sting?

I remember brushing my hand over one while picking up some shells in my tank and a few minutes later it felt like my hand had been exposed to poison ivy. Didn't sting all that much but it itched like crazy.

In small numbers they are beneficial scavengers. You can get them out with a bristleworm trap, or reducing your feedings is supposed to reduce their numbers.

Anyone know how to make a bristleworm trap? I've heard you can make them yourself but no description was ever given.
