do i have enough flow?

right now i have just some softies and lps. im wondering if i have enough flow right now. i have a mag 9.5 with 3/4" plumbing and about 4feet of head loss,a mj900 and 1200 and a ***** powerhead that is around the same gph as a mj1200.
is this enough? should i get another mj1200 or 900? should i just mod the mjs?

Just so you know, I wasn't aware of this, myself until a short time ago, but the Mag series of pumps is not recommended for external use. Not sure if this is a manufacturer's recommendation or the dealers when I was looking for a pump. I did notice that prolonged use of a Mag 7.0 pump I had before as an external pump caused the casing to brown from heat. It may be a fire hazzard. Not really related to the post. It just came in my head when I read that you had one.
Yeah, we need to know what you are using all those pumps in!

i'd put in another powerhead. it also depends on what corals u r putting in ur tank.

I'm not sure how much flow you need but if you have a hacksaw and drill you can increase your water flow on the mj's by using the hacksaw method http://www.reefchat.org/tabid/95/ctl...-the-fuss.aspx. I used it on my mj1200 tonight and it took about 5 min and I think it almost doubled the gph. I hope this helps.
