Do I have too much light?

I just ordered a 2x150 MH and 2x96 PC combo light from aquauniverse. I haven't got it yet, but I'm starting to second guessing myself. Did I get too much light? I have a 46 G bowfront tank. I intend to start a reef tank with my new light. I will have just over 10 watts/Gallon. I don't know the guidelines for lighting a reef tank. Is 10 watts/gallon too much?

You will beable to to keep any type of sps or clam. I agree with the post above... you will need a chiller. I don't think you have too much light. You will enjoy it... just make sue you get a chiller. Good Luck.

As long as you have AC at your house you may not need a chiller. I run two 250's and on my 72 and have never needed a chiller. I have one small fan blowing across the surface and turn on one in the sump when needed. Tank stays stable around 79 most of the time.
