I'm afraid to ask what o.e stands for.
Burrito, the reason you need live rock is that is very porus, so it has lots of little holes and tunnels in it that make for more overall surface area for the bacteria to grow on.
it's all about how much surface area something has to offer. The more porus the Rock is the more suraface area it has and the more bacteria can get on it.
Everything in your tank has this bacteria on it, the glass, the fake plants, the sand, the heater, the pumps, everything. But even all of that can't compare to just one decent sized piece of porus rock that has all this room inside it to keep bacteria.
Sponges work in a similar way, lots of chanels and holes in there, unfortunatley sponges arent the most attractive thing in the wrlkd so we use live rock (LR) instead.

lol k and o.e stand for wierd :3 and strange :3

Where is the logic of k or o.e meaning weird? And how in the world does :3 = strange?
Um let me put it this way...kkllm
kkllm what a kkllm lols. what does that mean to you? Think about it, look at it real hard...what is kkllm?
kkllm means NOTHING it is jibberish. So when you post that kind of non-existant speach nobody knows what you are talking about. So leave it out of your sentence. If you want to express yourself use a smiley...
this site offers 21 choices of smileys and we all understand them. Keep in mind that if you tell a joke and put a cry face on the end we still be confused.
