do i need to acclimate fish to new lighting?

if so how?? i am running NO now and am upgrading to mh/vho actinics. the package just arrived what do i do for the fishys???

just run the lights about 1 hour a day ad build up every day until you are at your normal photo period.

From what I understand, its not just the fish---its basically the whole tank that can be affected. LR coraline can bleach, algea on LS and/or LR can start, water temp changes, ect. Best way is to take it slow and "acclimate" the tank as a whole to new lighting. HTH.
