I have a BTA and I'm not sure if I need to feed it or not. I have only had it for about 2 weeks now and it looks great and everything. I have the Nova Extreme Pro 350 Watt T-5's. My tank is 48" long 18" deep. Thank You.

I fed mine, but not very often. I gave him a silverside around every 2 weeks.

With your lighting setup, i think feeding it once every few weeks is good. Honestly if you have clowns that feed it pieces of food then it wouldn't be necessary to feed it at all (with your lighting).

you dont have to feed it, as long as your putting food in your tank it will get some every now and then....i used to feed mine every week but then found out that was why they was splitting so much so i stopped and now they are huge but arnt splitting which is a pluse enless someone wants a RBTA hahahaha

I have the same size tank and the same light fixture. I've only had this lighting for a couple of weeks though. Since I upgraded to this lighting my GBTA's bubble tips have appeared. They weren't there before. I've had the BTA since last July. It was about the size of a golf ball when I got it. I have been feeding it silversides about 3 times a week. It has more than doubled in size. So my vote is to feed it. Here is a link to some great info on BTA's. Best of luck! http://www.carlosreef.com/AnemoneFAQ.pdf
