I am getting ready to do a test run with freshwater on my 45gallon reef with 29gallon sump/fuge. I was wondering if it is ok to use my well water for the test run? I just bought a new tank because the tank I was planning on using was from my old FW setup which I had treated with copper meds. So now I am paranoid of copper. I am worried that if my well water has traces of copper, it will contaminate my new tank. I would like to do a test run with FW to make sure everything is working properly with no leaks in the plumbing.
My setup is as follows:
45gallon display tank with DIY HOB overflow box, and 2 maxijet 900's
29gallon sump/fuge contains, aquaC remora pro with magdrive skimmer, Magdrive9.5 return pump, heaters, and SCWD.
