Why? What's it do that yours don't??
Sure it's nice, but you already have a nice bike to take out...

Well we wont hold that against you. nobody is perfect.

here is a shot of my honda "project" that I have been re-doing over the last couple months. 1985 vt700c
almost forgot, there is no such thing as having too many motorcycles. though I would try and stable up one of each type of bike: bagger, cruiser, sport bike, race bike, stunter, street fighter, and on road off road. so far I have one of seven..

Based on appearance alone, I'm having a hard time trying to "outfit" the ducati... Is it sport? Or is it cruise?
Doesn't look like a whole lot of either, but just a little of both, enough to confuse me! Like the Buell! Another confusing bike, lol.
The headlight and the tail pipes give 2 completely different messages...
The tires say sport, but the windshield, or lack there of, says well, I don't even KNOW what that says...
Reef, 1 of 7?? That's funny stuff right there..

Ducati 1096 or wutever it is lol. Or a confederate hellcat. Or the tomahawk! Y do u want a motard man??
Its not a motard. Its far from a motard. Its just a simple nakid streebike. IMo I wouldnt buy the 696 version. Id get the street fighter. You wont be happy with that bike. The street fighter offers the same ride but with the power. You have two cbr 1000's then you buy something that feel slike it will be missing a piston. You wont be happy.

Wow, you guys have been busy. I forgot one important piece of information. The Ducati is for my wife, not me. The ZZR600 in the picture is hers also. If I "needed" another superbike, I'd be buying the Ducati 1098S. I sat on the streetfighter and it is sweet though. Oh, that Motard? I have considered buying it. I hear they are about as fun as a bike can get on the track.
As mentioned, the 696 is a nakid bike. Ducati just really does a bike up right, but you usually pay for that in terms of price and maintenance. While the Japanese bikes are bullet proof and high performers, think of them as the Nissan, Toyota, Honda automobiles. Ducati is the Ferrari of Motorcycles but not priced as high comparably.
It's not stopping there though I'm afraid. Believe it or not, this is my next motorcycle. A Honda 1800cc Gold Wing.

As I wake up every morning with new aches and pains from living life, I realize I need something for the long hauls. The 600+ miles of twisties I did a few weeks ago up in North Carolina made me realize I'm not 20 any more. But I will ride sportbikes as long as I can throw a leg over the seat. I just don't need to ride them in all situations as I do now.

Never blame age!! We'll just say it's not something you do every day...you're bound to be a little sore.

You need to do it every weekend for about 3 months...THEN see if your still sore. If so, then...I'm afraid it's age.
