Do I really need a skimmer?

I have a 26 gal. tank. I do have a Prizm skimmer right now but recently I have been told that a tank this size does not really need a skimmer. Any truth to this?

you need a skimmer!!

Depends entirely on what you put in it. If it's not a big bio-load, diligent water changes might get you by. I'd lean towards the skimmer though.

If the skimmer you have removes skimmate then you just answered your own question....or would you be more comfortable leavin' the gunk in your water?
