I guess I never thought much of it until recently when have seen hairy mushrooms eat, but do ricordia mushrooms eat anything? Mine have taken off in growth since I Have had them for about a couple months, and fed them nothing. Maybe this is because they are small, but I am just curious to if they actually eat stuff, if so what?

Fishkiller was telling me yesterday how he feeds his ricordea mysis shrimp. he says the shrimp attatch to the ricordea, then the dang thing closes up around them and fills up. So I guess they can eat meat too. Im going to start direct feeding mine.

Yes they eat very well. I feed mine atleast once a week. They will eat about any meaty food you give them.

Yeah- put some mysis shrimp in a serenge(spelling?) with some tank water. Shake it and then get up close and slowly squirt some towards the center. It will close up around the shrimp, and will open back up within 30 minutes.
HURLEY- Are you suggesting that photosynthetic means that the organism is a carnivorous filterfeeder? That actually has almost nothing to do with photosynthesis. Maybe it was just a misprint or something- no biggy!:D

ok, i was just wondering because usually when somebody puts something in () after a term like you used, it is usually a short definition or synonem of the term. That's all.:)
