do snowflake eels have ick?

thinking about getting a small sfe, about 4 or 5 inches long for my community tank, i dont think i should have a problem with anything.
do i need to qt this for ick? can they even get ick?

also, how quickly do these grow? will it take a couple of years for it to double in size? i.e. to get 8 or 9 inches?

eels hardly get ich, very very rare. They will reach for size in about 2-3 years
