Choices will be limited to low light corals.
And i would go with a coralife pc instead.
Looks to be a jebo/oddysea light.
MH would be limitless.

Mh all the way. You can find some cheap deals on the famous auction site. I got my 2x250 icecap mhs for only 350. Some of those pc fixtures are in the 200 range so why not spend the extra 1-200 and buy it right the first time.

If you can afford it get the metal halides though if you dont want to keep SPS or clams then dont worrie about it. I bought thoughs exact lights from the same guy and have heard many good things about them. There not like the old jebos there actually made like real lights and have actual real antincs in them. I am going to buy another 1 in the future to have 2 on my 55. I dont want to keep SPS or Clams though I would like to have a clam but they just seem to dilcate and grow to big for my tank.

They are also good for anemones. They will do ok with pcs but would be much happier with mh. Mh retro fits arent that much more expensive than pcs. For your size tank id suggest 2x175w and you can use pcs to suppliment actinics but isnt necissary.

So what if i buy that setup but get higher wattage bulbs? Would that be good enough for most soft corals and inverts?

This tank is more of a temporary tank till i get a bigger one so this one will probboly never have any SPS or clams in it So i'm thinking the lights at the top of this thread might work fine and i'm sure i could get some higher wattage bulbs instead of the one's they come with unless someone else can find me a setup WITH the higher wattage bulbs for 89 dollars

Your right i just came back to correct myself
So that setup is not good enough for softies and inverts?
i'm not going to have SPS or CLams

Not sure of the brand but that level of lighting is ok for softs and inverts. Coralife makes a nice set of PCs like the one you are considering.
I myself went with 4x75W VHOs on my 29 gallon.

Oddysea is the same co. as jebo.
I have a jebo and coralife.
The coralife is better in every way.
Looks, quality,bulbs,craftmanship.
The bulbs are the most difference.
Most people end up changing out their crappy actnic blue.

The Oddysea lights have real antinics were as the ones listed under jebo have the crappy blue ones. You can look and see the lights that are in the pics are not on and if they have blue lights "that look blue and there not on" then dont get them.

this si the coralife one i found
Two 65 watt 10,000K and two 65 watt True Actinic 03 Blue straight pin base compact fluorescent lamps
Four 3/4 watt Lunar Blue-Moon-Glow LED lamps
Three on/off switches with three 8-foot power cords for separate timers
Built-in ballasts
Two cooling fans
Sleek aluminum housing
Highly-polished reflector
Acrylic lens cover
is it any better because it has moonlights?
Or do i just need more watts?

Thats the same as mine but it has led lights to simulate moonlight and give your tanks a blue glow when the other lights are out.
I am planning to add my own leds later.
The famous auction site is your best bet if your not on there already.
They sell them as aqualight too just make sure it says coralife on it.
Cheapest i seen was 169.
