Do Tomato Clowns sleep?

I bought a tomato clown today and put it into my recently cycled tank. Tonight, I saw it lying on the sandbed with its eyes open so I figured it died (probably due to the hour-long bus trip from the LFS or improper acclimation). I reached in to pick him up and it either "woke up" or came back from the dead.
Well, I guess I'll find out tomorrow if it will stay with the living.

Haha damn this post cracked me up(not to tease you though)..
All fish sleep with their eyes open because they dont have eyelids, they have a "covering" over it, i guess you would say..

It's still alive but it doesn't seem interested in exploring the tank. It's just hovering over one spot.

so clowns won't explore the tank when you first put them in. There getting use to the water. He should start looking around soon(a few days). My yellow strip maroon clown hasn't been to the other side of my tank yet and i'v had him for about a week. But i'd say he's stayin in his favorite spot because his RBTA is there LOL:D NEVER leaves it
