I have read where some people have fed them by dropping pellets over them. I would try a feeding mysis or perhaps some prime reef.
The tricky thing with the tube anemone's is that their long sweeping tenticles can and will sting othe sessile organisms in your tank. I ended up getting rid of mine due to lack of room in my tank.

They are uncapable of moving, their tube should be placed deep in your sand bed. Theyare nocturnal by nature and need to be spot fed to thrive. Any raw seafood stuffs is good. Mysis, clam, shrimp, silvesides, frozen, flake and even pellets are all exceptable. They are called anemones but they are not true anemones, they are a different species.

Another potential risk with Tube Anemones is that they are often referred to as fish killers. They have have a lethal sting and have been known to eat slow moving fish.

Thats a false reputation that they have been given. In fact scientific studies have shown that they have the least potent sting among all other anemones. Aptasia has a more potent sting than a tube anemone.

They CAN move. They have a few methods of locomotion. 1st, they burrow in the sand and can move from place to place through a tunnel network under the substrate. 2nd, they are very bouyant and can dislodge from their tubes, if they are unhappy, and go floating around the tank untill they find a new home (this is a good time to have sponges on the intakes of powerheads). If they are in a good location and are fed enough, they don't seem to wander much, but they are certainly capable of it.

Agreed. I believe we've read the same study

I've had fish swim right into them without ill effect - other than that it startled the tube anemone! I've also pulled fallen corals (capnella sp. and cualestrea sp.) from them after a few days with no ill effects to either.
