Do You Believe in Miracles?

Well about 3 months or so back, my yellow watchman goby went missing. I was pretty heartbroken since it was a fish that I had from the start in my little 10g tank to two tank changes to my 65g tank. So after about 2 weeks of not seeing him i figured he had died.
But tonight almost 4 months later. On my preskimmer box of my skimmer i have xenia attached and every so oftern I pull some pieces off that start to block the teeth of the pre skimmer box. So tonight as I was doing some trimming i jumped as I thought I saw something move inside the preskimmer box. I turned off the skimmer and took the box off, as i started to empty out the water out flew the yellow watchman goby.
He must of been in there living I dont know how for the past few months. The only way I can explain this is as a miracle. He must be one tough little fish. I am happy to have him back.

Wow! Thats great. I love these stories. People are always finding fish in the wierdes places.

that is awesome. im glad you found him. maybe he was feedin of the xenia polyps? i found my sleeper goby in my wet dry once. so i put a silencer in the hole in case he went wondering again. lol.

I woke up this morning and still couldnt believe it. This week I am going to put some mesh over the top of that preskimmer box so it wont happen again to him or any other fish.

Thats sweet what a tough little guy. It always feels good when you think something is gone to the jubilation of seeing it alive. Way to go.

We have a very stubborn Yellow Watchman that insists on living in our HOB Filter. We've tried putting him back in the tank, but he always makes his way up through the slits, and into the HOB.
No one stresses him or anything, but I guess he likes his privacy.
So now I feed him there every day and make sure he's "happy," and he sure seems to be.
Fish are funny, and it's so neat how some of them are real "fighters."

reminds me of Finding Nemo, where the fish are trying to escape and trying to mess with the equipment! Congrats on your recovery!

that's too funny glad it worked out.
i remember someone posted that they were cleaning out some part of their equiptment and actually found a whole bunch of pajama or striped cardinal babies in a place they definitely shouldn't have been.
